Buy or build? |

The decision of whether to buy an existing and established property or to have a new one constructed depends on several factors, timescale, available funds, etc. but in most cases it is because your dream home is not available in either the style or location that you want.
There are some alternatives, what about an old property either in need of renovation to give you a character home, or a ruin to demolish and construct a brand new house built on the plot.

Having chosen a suitable property, either an old house to renovate or a ruin to demolish and rebuild, we will introduce you to the Project Manager of our sister company, ”First Projects, Lda”. Our Project Manager will hold your hand from sketching out your ideas and the first consultation with the Architect to handing over the keys. We use only architects and builders with the highest of reputations, the ”tried and tested” ones who will meet the exacting standards you require at a price you can afford.
Our Project Manager will organise inspection visits, quotations for any extras that you may later decide on, help you choose bathrooms, kitchens and tiling. |

First Projects will also prepare your building contract for the entire construction period, and will liaise with your solicitor over all issues. You will receive reports and photographs of the project to keep you up to date on all aspects from the initial planning stages to the completed house.
Consider also that to make an investment now and build later secures the land at today´s prices . We can´t tell you how many times we have heard the words ”we wish we had bought a plot or ruin years ago” but if you invest in the Algarve now, whatever you decide to do, you have an asset which is going up in value with all property prices, far more profitable than cash on deposit and certainly without the risk of the stock market, look what happened recently!. Ruins and building plots have generally doubled in value in Monchique and trebled in select areas here over the last five years.
